Wedding at Culag, Loch Lomond!

Stuart and Sophie heard us perform back in 2014 at the Hampden Wedding Show and promptly booked us up for their wedding (they were a pleasure to play for!).

Their wedding was at Culag, a private wedding venue on the edge of Loch Lomond. Although being relatively new, Patrick and his team provide something so unique that they’re fully booked for 2015,2016,2017! Wedding parties take over the venue for a few days at a time and if Stuart and Sophie’s guests were anything to go by it’s loads of fun! Barbecues by the beach, a wedding ceilidh, bouncy castle, toasting marshmallows on the impressive fire pit, boating on the private section of the loch…It’s excellent.

Playing for this crowd was great- they danced all night, loved the mixture of ceilidh and covers. We also wheeled out our version of Sleeping at Last‘s reworking of “500 miles”, as Sophie and Stuart’s first dance! It’s becoming a popular choice these days. The evening ended with Stuart and Sophie being thrown into the air by their guests while we played “The Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond”.

We wish the happy couple all the best and (having chatted to Patrick and Jorge for a while during the evening) look forward to revisiting Culag again and again…
