Another House for an Art Lover Wedding
With Rachel getting married in Glasgow but living north of Aberdeen, she was relying on recommendations from friends and family nearer to the venue for a few wedding suppliers. Thankfully, her mum was up to the task of selecting a great ceilidh band! Rachel’s mum came to hear us in Troon and shortly after we were booked up for the big day.
House for an Art Lover was the venue- it’s somewhere we’ve enjoyed playing in the past. In fact, it was here that we met Emma for the first time and approached her about joining the Jiggered team (thankfully she said yes).
We arrived pretty early to get the sound stuff and lighting set up, and to allow us a decent sound check and practise for our performances at Hampden in three weeks’ time.
Rachel and Callum’s first dance choice was The Proclaimers’ Life With You but there were one or two requests during the night (including Ashokan Farewell, Hey Ho and Rachel’s mum’s favourite tune Dignity). The whole evening the floor was filled and our cover sets were especially popular.
Ewan was knackered after a hard day moving house- looking forward to the first Jiggered party at his new pad!
Congratulations once again to Callum and Rachel!
