A Ferry Big Weekend
We were lucky enough to spend this weekend on the Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides!
Marc and Nicola had asked us to bring the ceilidh to the island for their big day and we bit their hands off at the chance to do so! There was almost trouble when we realised the FA Cup Final was scheduled for when we’d be somewhere on the sea, but thankfully the ferry had the match on and a crisis was averted (for both us and Manchester United!).
We arrived on a sun drenched Barra (which looked incredible!) but there was little time for exploring as it was straight to the wedding. Much to Chris’ delight, “Take my Hand” by Skerryvore was the couple’s choice for their first dance, so we kicked the night off with that and everyone was right up for a party from that moment on. It was also lovely to see former Jiggered clients, David and Pauline, who we played for at their big day in 2021. Thanks again to you both for recommending us!
After a very short sleep, we were back on the early ferry to Oban which only 1/4 of the band managed to stay awake for - even with Chris’ exciting 20 minute talk on The On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences... Shocking!
Thanks again for having us guys! All the best.
