Laura and Ivan married overseas so wanted to celebrate the occasion in Glasgow with their friends. They booked a venue (the spectacular 29, Royal Exchange Square), Laura baked a wedding cake (which was amazing) and entertainment (who else but Jiggered Ceilidh Band?).

Playing at 29 poses one or two unique aspects for bands…access at the start of the night means driving onto Glasgow’s bustling Buchanan Street and unloading near Monsoon, while the end of the evening the packing up involves driving onto Royal Exchange Square just after midnight past hordes of bemused party-goers!

Raymie was on fine form, Andi was drumming so enthusiastically that he cut his finger on a cymbal (bleeding for the cause, that’s commitment!), I was on duty keeping this pair under control while Emma did a great job guiding all the guests through the dances.

We’re back in action tonight- at St Andrews!
