Flown in to St Andrews by Air Squadron
Poor Kate got in touch with us 12 days before the East of Scotland Universities Air Squadron Summer Ball. She’d been tasked (kind of last minute) with organising the event and was scrambling about trying to find a ceilidh band who would play for them in St Andrew’s luxurious Fairmont Hotel. Thankfully, Jiggered Ceilidh Band were available and only too happy to head up and play for the ESUAS!
There was a Hawaiin theme, as you can just about make out from this not-exactly-clear picture of Susan and Emma. The night was a lot of fun. Joseph was on drums and (apart from a slight crisis with his crotchets) it was great catching up with him again.
Kate asked at the end of the night if we’d travelled up in one car. I apologised that we hadn’t meaning our carbon footprint might be a bit high. She joked that next year they’d fly us up to the gig. That would be awesome!
