Second ceilidh of the weekend for Jiggered Ceilidh Band! Bride Anne had booked us up many years ago for a church event and got in touch when her marriage at Ellersly House Hotel, Edinburgh came round! The wedding had a unique theme…SKITTLES! They were all over the place on signs, in jars, forming the table numbers and filling the mouths of grateful, hyperactive guests!

The room layout was unusual and we ended up rearranging our gear midway through the first half to accommodate this! At the break we plonked ourselves down in front of the TV to see Mr Bolt entertain the crowds in the Commonwealth Games 4x100m final. The Jamaican team romped home to victory and demolished Jiggered’s personal best for the 4x100m in the process!

At the end of the night one guest apologised that she hadn’t been up dancing very much, “You guys are amazing,” she explained “it’s just I’m a bit old for this”. I was stunned and asked what age she was. “I’m 30”. That was it- I was off in the huff! At 33, I’m obviously geriatric!
