David and Kaye’s Post-Wedding Party

It was a Friday afternoon car-share effort to Inverness for Jiggered for David and Kaye’s post-wedding party.

We stopped for some posh fish & chips on the way up (where Chris nearly broke the bank on some lobster but chickened out) and were then offered rolls & sausage on arrival at Smithton Free Church for the party. Being treated to nice food isn’t the worst thing about being in a ceilidh band, we have to admit!

After some family photos, we treated the recently-weds to a mash up of Caledonia and Taylor Swift’s ‘Love Story’ to kick off the ceilidh. It was great to catch up with our Strathclyde University pal, Graham, who’s related to the bride and groom - and perhaps put in a good word for us?!

It was back down the road for us straight after the gig and we all arrived safely despite the many road-side deer keeping us on the edge of our seats and foot close to the brakes!
