Ceilidh in Kirknewton
It was a return to wedding season for us last night and it was great to be back! This time it was the turn of Hamish and Natalie who had chosen the impressive Cairns Farm Estate in Kirknewton for their big day.
It’s always nice after almost 20 years of ceilidhing to find a new venue. We were warmly welcomed by Events Manager Lynsay and were soon ready to go for the first dance - our take on ‘Symphony’ by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson.
The science loving newlyweds had everyone find their table via their own personal microscope slide which they had to put under the microscope to find out where to go - definitely another first for us anyway!
It’s surprisingly rare when one of us doesn’t know someone at one of our gigs and last night Chris was reunited with a former pupil, Alannah, who has gone on to great things in science herself.
The night went without a hitch and the first dance went down so well, we gave it another to go to round things off at the end of the night.
Thanks again for having us, Hamish & Natalie! All the best.
